I am a 67-year-old male who is retired as a Naval EOD Officer.  I was informed in October 2018 that I had an aggressive STAGE 4 Bladder Cancer.  The urologist indicated I had three options:
  1. Leave the bladder in and be prepared for a most painful existence, then death.
  2. Replace my bladder with a Physician-formed bladder from a 5-ft section of my intestine.
  3. Total bladder removal after chemotherapy and replaced with an external urine bag.
None of these options appealed to me. I refused bladder removal even after a hard-sell by doctors.  With my family’s insistence, I did accept the chemo option at first but stopped after three months of treatment (half treatment) after experiencing the seemingly near-death effects of chemotherapy. My brother had previously met Dr. Gabrielle Hodson and recommended her to me.  After Dr.  Hodson recommended a natural healing approach including nutraceuticals and the elimination of certain foods, I explained my wishes to the doctors to discontinue chemo treatments in favor of this dietary treatment.  Using a military term, the doctors went ballistic saying there is no evidence to support diet is a deterrent to cancer and I would be back asking to have my bladder taken out. Even one of the most highly regarded urologists in the State of Texas told me the same. Dr. Hodson explained, in easily understood terms, what my body needed was a chance to heal itself.   After a quiet extensive interview of questions and truthful responses, she recommended a nutritional treatment program that I followed for the following six months.  The diet is not without consequences.  I lost in excess of 30 pounds in a relatively short period of time moving from a 34-inch waist to a 30-inch waist.  My tastes changed where certain foods taste differently than before and I drink more reverse osmosis structured water.  The addition of exercise, meditation and maintaining a positive outlook overshadowed any challenges associated with this diet. Dr. Hodson not only treats your acute illness but treats the pending and, too often, hidden illnesses within the body. My back pain has also been greatly reduced from using the healing techniques suggested by Dr. Hodson. I remained on Dr. Hodson’s cancer treatment program for about six months. After six months I received a PET Scan, internal camera scan of my bladder and prostate and blood tests. The same urologist who predicted my inevitable death stated he could not detect any cancer in my body. Neither science nor medicine can prove that dietary changes did NOT kill my cancer.  Though anecdotal, I know I vehemently stuck to the diet and lifestyle changes, and I am thoroughly convinced that Dr. Hodson’s natural treatment program saved my life. Dr. Hodson is also working with me to relieve my back pain naturally with herbs, yoga, and special exercises. Meditation and grounding are key elements of Dr. Hodson’s total wellness recommendations. I have come to accept that total wellness is within my reach requiring meditation, exercise, diet, and a will to live. Simply put, Dr. Hodson’s holistic approach of dietary constraints, exercise, meditation, and retaining positive thoughts allowed my body to heal itself.
